Once you start exchanging documents electronically with trading partners, how do you keep in touch with what is actually going on? And how do your commercial colleagues know if something “technical” is preventing documents from getting through, especially during peak season when real-time delivery of orders is critical? F4F’s Tracking and Alerting system manages this for you. Documents you have sent can be tracked via the MyF4F link on this site. For each type of document you send, you decide how it is to be identified (by Invoice Number, for instance) and we show you exactly what has happened to it en route. Every step - from receipt of your document at the F4F B2B Platform through to delivery – is logged, even though the whole process may only take a couple of seconds. This Tracking system is supported by a comprehensive Alerting system to ensure that you and your trading partners are notified in the unlikely event of a delay in delivering any documents. We don’t want to give the impression that this happens often, because it doesn’t, but if there is a problem, we want you to know that it will be detected very quickly and that it will be fixed as fast as possible. The B2B Platform checks each of its own components every few minutes, as well as checking that all documents are flowing through the system. Should there be any delay, an automated e-mail is sent to the sender, the recipient and the F4F Support Centre, identifying the document(s) involved and the likely cause. The F4F Support will then work with all parties to ensure the problem is rectified and that the documents arrive at their destination. |
