Document Types: the F4F XML Standards

F4F has developed a set of standards for electronic document exchange within the agricultural and related  industries world wide. Based on the flexible XML file format, and fully compliant with the standards laid down by the IT industry’s global advisory body, W3C, the F4F XML document standards remove the need to develop individual point-to-point connections with your trading partners. Once we have helped you convert your documents into F4F XML, we can deliver them to anyone, anywhere, anyhow.

The opposite is true, too, of course. Once we have built a conversion from F4F XML to the file formats imported by your back-office system, you can receive documents electronically from any trading partner.

The F4F XML Standards have two distinct advantages over other document standards:

F4F has complete control over the development of its Standards, so any new requirements can be incorporated quickly without recourse to committees and lengthy consultation processes. The unique structure of the XML Schemas and the carefully controlled change management system  ensure that all new requirements are built in without affecting existing users

Rather than allow “carte blanche” implementations, we work closely with companies to ensure consistent usage of its XML Standards. This means that there is minimal work required to bring on new trading partners.

Which document types do we support? The list is so comprehensive that we have divided them into groups for ease of understanding. Click on the links below to see full list of document types.
