Invoice Management for Farmers

Whilst the majority of our solutions have been developed for the supply chains servicing farm inputs and outputs, rather than for farmers themselves, there has been steady interest from larger farm organisations to discover how they too can benefit from the growing trend of B2B document exchange.

Our first success has been with farmers who use Farmplan farm management software: by visiting a version of our Invoice Portal they are able to import suppliers’ invoices directly into their management accounts. This brief description does not, however, do justice to the functionality we provide.

Having logged in through our secure gateway, farm managers or their appointed agents, are able first of all to view a list of the invoices sent by their suppliers. From this list they can:

view the full details of an invoice

set an appropriate status against each invoice line to indicate whether or not they are happy that the goods or services have been delivered

allocate a cost centre to the invoice, so that it is coded correctly when it reaches the accounts, and appears properly in expenditure analysis reports

The final step is to return to the farm management system, from where they are able to import the invoices directly into the database without further processing.
