If you are a retailer or distributor, you can place orders with suppliers and
transport providers using our B2B Platform, and receive back whatever
documents you need: confirmations, despatch advices and invoices. Should
you discover that some of the smaller ones are not yet ready to participate
in direct document exchange, we have web-based solutions available,
which mean that you can send and receive via F4F nevertheless.
Our WebSupplier Portal is a secure website to which you can send purchase
orders for such suppliers in exactly the same way as you normally send
to F4F. Each participating supplier simply has to register on the site
and spend two minutes configuring it to suit his business model and
usability preferences. He can opt to receive e-mail alerts every time
there is a new order sent to him, and when he logs in to view it, it
will take just a view clicks for him to convert the order into whichever
of the documents he has agreed to send back: confirmations, despatch
advices and invoices. To operate most effectively, the prices on the
purchase order need to be correct; if adjustments do need to be made
to the price or the quantity delivered, this can be done easily in the
portal before sending documents back to you.
To give you an idea of the scalability of the solution, one of our South
African clients has just rolled out WebSupplier to around 500 suppliers
in a little over three months.
We have a similar portal for hauliers targeted primarily at the grain
sector: Transport Manager. In this case, hauliers can apply to receive
transport orders from you. You then send the orders via the B2B Platform,
exactly as for WebSupplier, and they return the details of the weights
delivered, together with the date and time of delivery.
In both cases, the portals allow you as buyers to increase significantly
the number of supply chain partners with whom you exchange information
via F4F, delivering a higher and faster return on your initial investment
