Outside of the order-to-cash cycle, we have a growing set of solutions which help you to manage the exchange of sample testing and results information, which brings into the B2B community both service providers at ports and laboratories, as well as buyers, suppliers and transporters in the grain and feed sectors.
Our service begins with the development of document formats in our F4F XML standard for:
which can be sent across the B2B Platform in the usual way by those who have a direct connection. This allows for individual tests (and the number of them) to be specified, and for the detailed results to be passed back without any fear of re-keying errors.
Such test results are used by organisations in the grain sector to apply contract pricing adjustments based on variance from the standard agreed in the original supply contract. In the animal feed sector, where an organisation has been established with the specific objective of promoting safety and quality, a concerted, collaborative testing programme is underway.
In addition to documents being sent system to system, there is also the opportunity for those who are not yet connected directly to F4F to participate via a web interface in our Quality Testing & Tracking Portal. In this portal, registered members are able to track progress in sampling against the schedule laid down at the start of the year, and to see status of each item in the schedule as well as the detailed results.
As traceability becomes an ever more important factor in food production, we are developing our set of services further in this direction, exploiting the underlying backbone of the B2B Platform to gather, store and make accessible via secure means information of interest to various parties in the supply chain.
